Loveland Colorado Real Estate and Loveland CO Homes
Loveland Colorado is a community that was founded in 1858, when a frontiersman from New Mexico opened a trading post in the area. In 1877, the Colorado Central Railroad was extended from Longmont to Cheyenne, Wyoming, through a 320-acre wheat field owned by David Barnes. With an ample supply of water from the Big Thompson River, the area was ideal for growing wheat. Since then, Loveland has flourished with businesses, schools, churches and families to a population of over 50,000.
