Longmont Colorado Real Estate and Longmont CO Homes
Longmont Colorado was founded in 1870 as a hub for farming activities. Large irrigation ditches brought then and still bring water from the rivers to the rich farmland soil. The Great Western Sugar factory, which manufactured sugar from sugar beets until the 1970's, still hovers near Old Town today as a monument to the past. Majestic views to the west of Mt. Meeker and Longs Peak are available over 300 "sunshine days" a year. The town is only 8.2 miles from Boulder.
