Erie Colorado Real Estate and Erie CO Homes
After the completion of a spur of the Union Pacific Railroad from Brighton Colorado, Erie Colorado was established in 1871 by the Boulder Valley Coal Company which owned many coal mines. Incorporated in 1875 with only 600 residents, Erie was named after one of its founders whose hometown was Erie, Pennsylvania.
Come enjoy Erie's new Vista Ridge Community...complete with golf course and club house. Also, a new Erie Community Center opened in late December 2007 at a total cost of $16,800,000. Hopefully, this new Community Center and a new Library in January 2008 will attract even more residents and businesses to this community.
